Achievements

·Around 1550 families and individuals assisted with furniture and effects during the past 10 years.

·Furniture and effects have been collected from 10020+ donors within the SLC area and resused or recycled. We estimate that around 1240 tonnes of reusable waste (Furniture & Effects)  material has been diverted from landfill and taken out of the waste stream.

·During this time we have still managed to provide a free service (although a small delivery charge of £10 is applied to each delivery)

·68 New Deal trainees taken on during the past 10 years and prepared for employment – some achieved certification to SVQ 2 standard.

·Members of and committed to working to Furniture Reuse Network National Standards.

·Introduction of Client Charter outlining exactly what Clients can expect from HFI and what we expect from Referral Agencies in return.

·Area serviced increased substantially since 1995 to include all SLC boundary.
